I have a Master’s Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy using the Arts, and I am a member of the Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). I am also part way through my accreditation for the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
I specialise in working with adults who have experienced sexual violence, childhood abuse, and complex trauma. Alongside my private practice, I work for a specialist charity supporting survivors of sexual violence, giving me extensive experience in trauma-informed therapy. I also have experience supporting neurodivergent adults, people with learning disabilities, and individuals affected by addiction. I recognise that every person’s experiences are unique, so I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs, strengths, and goals.
My training is integrative, meaning I draw from different traditions to inform my practice, including psychodynamic and humanistic, as well as more recent developments in neuroscience and trauma-theory. Authenticity, communication, collaboration and finding ways to be in the present moment together form the foundation of the work.
As an integrative psychotherapist and trained art psychotherapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to create a way of working that feels right for you. While talking therapy is at the heart of my practice, I can also incorporate creative methods when words feel difficult. There is never any expectation to use art—it is simply another option if it feels helpful.
